We got to do two activities this month for our neighborhood kids service group. One of the weeks I picked the activity. We decided to give thank you notes and treats to the fire fighters and police, especially since they helped us with the fire at the beginning of the month! The kids all gave them their notes they made and treats we bought. First we went to the fire station and the fire men let the kids all take a tour of the truck and then take turns spraying it down with a hose. It was fun!
Then we went to the police station and the kids gave them their treats and cards and the cops showed the kids their handcuffs and tasers, haha.
The other activity was bookmark making to donate to a local elementary school. We weren't able to go to the get together for it because we were out of town but we got some bookmarks from the mom who organized that one and decorated them and then gave them back to her to send in with the others.
