March was actually pretty rude with its chilly weather. But we survived it. And yes, I know all I seem to talk about is the weather on these monthly posts, and lately in general. But that's because I have a problem. I'm a "friolero"which is Spanish for "someone who is always cold." So my life revolves around the sun. And March didn't give us much of that. January was warmer than March! It's confusing. But ONCE AGAIN I'm rambling on SO, *ahem*- moving on, instead:
I already posted about the lake and the few nice days we had but this was here so I'm leaving it as a hopeful reminder.
Buck's pretty much gone all of my life now. He's either at work or tiling our new house (which takes years, apparently) or traveling to Florida or Texas for work. I get lonely often. Thankfully sometimes people come hang out with me. Like when Jade braved dinner at Denny's with me and our kids!
Super Rosie! She actually got very upset if anyone tried to take this off of her.
We went to see Shrek the play! We had watched all the Shrek movies leading up to this so it was extra exciting for the girls.
June and her Pops are reading James and the Giant Peach together every Sunday.
June had a random day off of school so we went to the aquarium since we miss going with her the days she's at school. And bonus- she was super helpful in chasing Rosie all over the place for me!
Still at it with swimming lessons!
Which has meant I've had to get in the pool with Rose too. They are kind to let me get in for free while Hazel has her lessons.
Other wise I'm stuck bribing her with cookies and trying to keep her from running into the water.
Teething is a sad business.
Exciting times at the new house
Hazel got her very own American Girl doll for a late birthday present from her Nana and Pops. Bet you can't guess what's on June's list now for her birthday wishes...
Rough morning
This is how desperate we all are. It was like 40 degrees this day but the sun was out so June said it was "summer." If only!
Practicing ABC's
And then planking.
After Buck had been gone traveling for a few days, Rose was not going to let him go. He is her favorite.
Thankfully during his longest trip my mom and sister came down to visit! (and my dad too for a couple of the days.) We went swimming one day and it was exhausting with all the kids but worth it.
Rose was, of course, determined to go off on her own and continually try to drowned. I was thankfully when she got distracted by these spouts. And this photo is hilarious to me.
Another day we went to the Curiosity Museum
Lots of house visits. one day we'll have more than paper on the outside of our house. I mean, maybe.
It wouldn't be a monthly recap post without some cat cuddle photos salted in.
YES
Telling secrets at McDonalds.
Another husband-less night. Didn't want to be home alone so I tried being a "cool mom" and having dinner at McDonalds.
Going on a long drive to explore the middle-of-nowhere near our new home.
Every time she does Yoga with me she has to get her "yoga mat" which is this cute bat quilt Buck's Aunt Susie made for her!
Painted closets at the new house. We finally have enough room for three (and four) kids. ;)
Doing spring time crafts with Aunt Susie.
A visit from an old friend I haven't seen in years!
"Little pink haired red riding hood"
Rose would sooner follow the cats than her mom. Sigh.
My friend invited us to a temple open house. It was crazy with the baby girls but the older girls all really loved the tour and seeing inside a temple!
And these photos make me laugh.
I also had another event for my non profit.
"I want to wear my Chewbacca Sweater and Chewbacca pants and Chewbacca shoes and my Chewbacca backpack and put lots of little Chewbacca's inside the back pack. That will be so cool! I want to do that right now!"
Donut and reading days at first grade. The whole girl gang came along to June's class.
