On my last morning in the Netherlands, we had some time before my flight and so we went to see the dahlia flowers on these castle grounds. It's true I missed the famous tulip season, but this didn't feel too shabby either. ;) What a lovely end to a lovely week!
One day we went to the city of Utrecht. We walked around and got lunch and then we chartered a small little fishing boat type thing to drive around the city canals! That’s another thing, pretty much everywhere has canals so it was really cool to take one, just the two of us, and wander through the water ways that people there use every day! We got to go through the city center and it was really neat! And then later on in a narrow passage Shea ran us into a few bushes, ping ponging back and forth as we ducked for our lives as the bushes engulfed us 😂 It was so funny. I really enjoyed this unique experience and beautiful city!
