1st Trimester! And Gender Reveal!

This is the earliest we have ever gone in for an early gender ultrasound. We paid to go to this place where it's not a doctor office but a business for finding the gender early. I had SO much anxiety as we got close to the appointment time. I was most anxious that we wouldn't be able to see or find out and I'd have to go another day being anxious until we could go back! What a silly thing to be anxious about but hey, it is what it is.
The place has the most comfortable bed EVER. As the girl was searching around with the ultrasound device, the baby was all upside down with the cord between the legs. If we would have been at the hospital they would have given up but I love that at this place they didn't and they reassured me that they would find it. After some water and jiggling they found it!

GIRL.

I started laughing and the anxiety rushed out of me so intensely that I started to shiver and shake. Bodies are weird.

I just thought it was so funny that we really only have girls on both sides of the family. Our now three girls, Jade (Buck's sister) is having a girl and Erin has Ginny. So crazy. But I am also excited and somewhat relieved since having a boy made me nervous. I was a little sad for Buck but he really was so sweet and truly happy and excited. I'm sure there is a part of him that would love to have a son just as I would long to have a daughter if I only had sons. But I am thankful for a wonderful loving husband who really is happy to be surrounded by girls. And I do believe that God sends all those girls to special dads because he knows how precious they are. So there's that.

After it was done they gave us cookies and water, the ultrasound photos and a white carnation flower in pink water that then turned into a pink flower a couple hours later. What a cute idea.
Everyone in our families had great reactions. I think they all thought it would be a boy this time. So everyone was surprised.
But just think of it- “The Harrison Sisters.” Maybe they can start a band one day. ;)

This first trimester has been weird.  I didn't find out until 7 weeks. With the girls I was six around week six but this time I was feeling fine. And I continued to be relatively okay until about week 10 it randomly hit. One thing is that I had to take progesterone pills because my levels were low and that's the hormone that makes you feel sick so I'm pretty sure those are what did me in.

My diet started out in survival mode:
But I really started to listen to my body and the fact that it was telling me to STOP- these foods were only making it better for ten minutes but then I was MUCH worse later on. So I listened and started eating a good breakfast and then only healthy, filling snacks after that until about 5:00 pm I was too scared to eat anymore because it seemed no matter what, I was doomed to painful and debilitating bloating. Aren't you SO glad you're reading this post?

So, you know, every night I looked 6 months pregnant. But this first photo is an early morning, true bump photo.

These were on my other posts but here is 12 weeks. Baby? BLOATING-

14 weeks

In summation, this trimester was slow to hit with its sick magical/horrible powers but once it did there were a couple weeks of gagging gagging gagging. It's still not all better yet but once I stopped the pills I noticed a difference. So hopefully in the next week or so I can really relish in the second trimester glory!

Summer Swimming

We got to spend a summery day at the water park with our friends! We had fun even if I have been feeling sick. Hazel loved her first time wearing a puddle jumper and June was a whole new child wading out as far away from me as she could get. And of course, we had fun with the underwater camera.

Girls Camp 2k16

I survived another year of Girls Camp! And it was a lot of fun.

The camp was surrounded by aspen trees and green bushes that nurtured the life of fuzzy black caterpillars. We were near a down slope and it dropped off into a stunning view of pines and peaks off in the distance. In the morning the sun rose up through the trees creating a cathedral of leafy shadows to wake up to. There was a water spigot with drinkable water. And the road in was full of thick orange dust that coated everything we owned.

Being pregnant and still sick and then at a very high altitude, I actually just sat and laid around a whole lot it seems. But I was there at least, right? haha I couldn't do the zipline, hike, canoes, but I WAS there for most things to be the photographer. So here are my photo stories of camp. Well, some of them. I also tried not to add too many of other people's children since this is a public blog, so just know that there are a ton of funny candid photos of the girls. :)

Everyone was so great at helping with everything.

And we ate well for the four days!
I tried a kids one on and it looked extra funny with my little baby bump.
 The best. HA
Singing camp songs
  Weird sightings
 The "belly band."

Helping to set up things along a path for a "faith walk."
Which ended in a little tea party. And apparently I was obsessed with the flags.

The funny thing is that there are hardly any photos of me since I was always the one photographing and sick on top of that, I wasn't super motivated to pass the camera off for that purpose. But since I'm only showing a handful of the 300 photos I have, and I'm adding any photo I was in since you know, this is my blog, it looks like I was in a lot of photos. Long pointless story but there you go. Just wanted you to know I'm not as vain as this photo may imply.
Woke up that forth morning and packed up and came home! I know I could have written more but I decided to let the photos speak this time. Hope you enjoyed it. It was a special week!
