For the weekly hike we took a secret trail that goes along the other side of the river of a much more popular trail. I'm so glad it worked out! We had the place to ourselves! It was through the forest the whole way and there was an amazing waterfall at the end. WE even made a lizard friend on the trail! It's been great therapy to go on these hikes.
We took the kids to their first rodeo! This one is popular and we had to plan ahead and get tickets for it in January! Can you believe that?! Wild. But glad we snagged some because it was a lot of fun! We also went with my friend Adrian and her family and she brought her real camera so I'm borrowing some of her photos for this post as well. ;)
And anyway, we watched bucking broncos and bulls, barrel racing, chuck wagon racing, calf roping, wild horse chase, and even some cowboy riding a bull and wiping fire around it?! It was so random. At the end we even got to watch some cool motocross cars doing tricks. We let the kids eat too much cotton candy and pop corn and stay up too late apparently because in the middle of the night both Johnny and Hazel threw up. 😅 (and no they weren't sick with a virus- we just had that! And they were totally fine the next day.) Fun times.
