Easter Celebrations

For Easter this year I was feeling heart sick for a beautiful garden so I went crazy and got a million flowers for our decorations. Whatever, no regrets.

We were able to check off "dye easter eggs" off our list.

We had out annual "Jerusalem dinner." This year we had dates, fig jam, flat bread, wafer crackers, smashed olive spread, hummus, seasoned feta cheese, stead bits, grapes, blood oranges, and couscous with tomatoes, spinach, and feta cheese. Normally we've eaten it on the floor but with Johnny's age... nope. We had it on the table. It was good. We also talked about Christ and watched a movie clip of the last supper.

Saturday we did the secular things- Hid the Easter baskets around the house and then had an egg hunt.

Easter morning we had a special breakfast and then got dressed and did "home church."

We spent the rest of the day together and then had yet another fancy meal. Guys, I'm wiped out from all that meal planning and decorating. haha!

These are the beautiful paintings that I found and had displayed in our home. Christ and his atonement for us, his death for us, his resurrection, for us. One day to come again!

I hope everyone else was able to have a special Easter, despite all the madness in the world! It's possible,  even now, thanks to Jesus Christ. 💖
