We got another weekend in Boise the other week! It was my friend's wedding so we made the trek north west to my home. On the way there we stopped at the most random gas station/rest stop ever. I've heard of this place before but somehow had never been to it. But it was the perfect place to stretch our legs. You'll see for yourself just how random this place is: masquerade
We didn't get in until late Friday night.
My mom was actually out of town all day Saturday at a funeral for her niece and my dad was gone helping with auditions for the musical theater that he is always involved in. I'm so happy my sister lives in Boise now, we had a good day!
First we spent the morning at the farmers market downtown.
June only wanted to be with her baby cousin Ginny. She is the best and it was cute to watch them together.
There was a specialty hand crafted soda place with Buck's name in the title so the guy gave Buck a free root beer. It was very unique too! They add some black licorice and wintergreen to it so it's different than any sarsaparilla you've ever had! Erin and Dan had a maple soda.

After that we went and had lunch at Tucano's, a Brazilian restaurant, for Erin's birthday!
Then we came home and had some blitz swimming. I call it that because Buck and I swam for like 15 minutes before we had to get ready and go to the wedding. Erin and Dan swam for longer with all the girls.
The drive to the wedding took a while since we had to go for several miles on a one lane dirt road that wound around the mountains. It was beautiful though and so remote. I love places like that!
And there were some true Idaho sights to be seen...
My friend Ashely was getting married and Jennifer was her maid of honor. It was special to be there because we have all been friends since 7th grade.
On Sunday we all woke up to my parents being home! We spent time at church, where my sister played the flute and it was flawless as always. Then we came home and June helped decorate Erin's birthday cake.

Our cat is so old and frail. He was once a strong beast that hunted every insect and critter and now he can hardly meow or hear. It's sad but it's the cycle of life. And June was elated that she was able to pick him up.
We gave Hazel a mo-hawk since that what her hair wants to do.

And I had to document some of my mom's decorations since she put up some extras for the girls.
And right as we were going to get in the car my mom decided to have a quick little tea party. haha
It was a quick but good weekend in Boise, as always. We look forward to my parents being around next time we visit! Thanks for entertaining us Erin and Dan! :)
