Stewart Falls

Another weekly hike in the books! This one is to a popular waterfall- Stewart Falls, but we went early in the morning and it wasn't very crowded. But when we got back down to the parking lot it was packed! So glad we went when we did. We were also gifted with an amazing rainbow at the falls! What a gift!

Summer Trip- Teton National Park

On our last full day we ventured into Teton National Park! Such an amazing place with so much beauty!

First we stopped by the visitor center.

Huckleberry lollipops

Then for the main event of the day we went kayaking on the lake! Teton is famous for a few lakes but we decided not to go to those this time since they were crowded and instead we opted for String Lake, which was so much smaller but we had the whole thing to ourselves most of the time! It was amazing! The views were great and the water was shallow and warmer than other lakes. We kayaked over to Lilly pads with yellow flowers and the clouds even cleared up and we never got stormed on (we had first been worried about that happening) It was the best day!

It was hard to leave! On the way out we stopped by the famous Jenny Lake to look at the views. Amazing!

Then we went and got dinner at a pizza spot over looking the Tetons.

Johnny was pumped about roaming on these little paths.

June got this bandana from a ranger for being the one in charge of making sure we cleaned up our lake site so that bears wouldn't come near.

The drive back to camp was, as always, beautiful!

And we even got to see the cows. Of all the things, the kids maybe loved this the most that week. 😂

After the kids were in bed, we had a campfire date night. (Dayna and Logan had to go home that night so we were on our own)

The next morning we had to clean up and say good bye to the camp and our neighbors:

I love the little details like the sticks and rocks the kids were collecting.

Saying good bye felt kind of like saying good bye to the kids and Buck because back at home we are all busy and stressed and all of that. 😢 This week of camping was good for the soul and for us all.

It was also so healing to be with my friend Dayna and her family! I am loving these trips to be with my best friends. Now we're hoping to go somewhere again soon together! Considering I'd like to move away to the mountains, more trips to look forward too are the answer.
Until next time Wyoming!
