We've been keeping up on our summer hiking goal for the most part, also thanks to the trips we've taken where we've also hiked. Last weekend we went up the canyon in the evening time when it was cooler out. We did the simple paved nature trail but nobody else was there and it was the perfect little jaunt.
The girls held hands nearly the whole time and no matter what we did they were up front so it kind of became a thing for me to get as many back photos as I could. haha We are glad that so far they like each other.
(And don't worry, there were just some treacherous steps closed up ahead, not the whole hike. There was also switchbacks. I know you were worried about those orange cones. ;) )

18 Weeks!
Collecting rocks in her pockets
On the trail back they had to stop and observe every little thing. It was cute but took forever.
When we got home we let them stay up a little later for some fireworks. We didn't get to do any of our on the 4th of July since any firework is banned in California, where we were, but thanks to the state wide Utah holiday of Pioneer day, July 24th, we were able to have another sanctioned firework day here.
We actually did a few before the hike.
And then did the rest when it was darker once we were back and had pajamas on.
