To My Blue Sky

Side note: This was written on April 17, 2010

Of course I have commitment issues. You would too, if you were me.

A)   I’m a yellow personality type. As bright and buttery as the sun. Meaning: I’m flighty and spontaneous and hate responsibility. I’m a bird that cannot be caged. I need a relationship more like the sky- endless and free, ever changing- windy and sunny with skyscraper clouds; colorful- sometimes dark, sometimes bright. When dark it’s packed with stars. But yet, it’s one of the most consistent things we have. And mostly- it’s blue. (Blue being a loyal personality type. Noted for their dedication and strong relationships)

They Sky never falls. You must fly to be in it.

Which brings me to point

B)   I’ve only ever been in cagey, weird, and dysfunctional relationships. (until recently.) (even then it’s been anything but normal.) Always with boys who carried around a suitcase full of issues wherever they went. Then I would come along and they’d be like, “Here. Hold my suitcase full of issues for me while I go and kiss other girls.” And I would. But seeing as I have no upper body strength I just couldn’t hold it all (call me crazy) as they packed away the heavy items of DISTRUST and LIES. In the end we’d both part ways somehow worse people then we were before we started.

Therefore

C)   Commitment=ed Pain and digression. In the end I felt caged in my confused emotions and I didn’t really see the point of letting someone who didn’t deserve me think that he did.

But now here I am. More committed than I’ve ever been. I’ve handled it by ignoring all my guy friends that I kept around to validate myself. (not all my guy friends were for that- I keep the good ones around) I find myself spending all my time with him now. But that’s how I want it. His attention is more than enough.

I wont lie, it hasn’t always been so functional- which is why I’m surprised at how wonderful it is now. There were many times I was sure it was doomed. Yet here we are- wanting the things we do-

Magical

  Soooo, I wanted to talk for a minute about this magical and glorious little theater.

They have all these fun little knock off shows like about Twlight and Hillbillies and Pirates!

 

It's a dinner theater and it's fabulous. And the best part is? I live right around the block from it.

Also, seeing as I love magical environments, Buck took me to the Mayan Restaurant- where people jump off cliffs right there in the restaurant and dive into a pool of turquoise waters with waterfalls running down. Wild huh? All of your Utah-ers know of this place. 

They also gave us a magical cake with fire!

Another magical thing is this:

In a Decade

I  just want to point something out.

Last decade, from 2000-2009, I was very productive.

In this time I graduated from:

Middle School- 2000

High School- 2004

(mission- 2008)

and

COLLEGE- 2009

Go me. 

So I've started thinking of some goals for this next decade. 

So far I've come up with:

Spending every January somewhere warm (inspired by Brazil- this year's January escape)

.....And that's all I've got so far. 

But hey, I've got a whole canvas of decade ahead of me. 

Here's to the next ten years.

Under the Sea

You see, I actually do a lot of things everyday. I don't know if people are suppose to have this much fun everyday but I do. Take yesterday for example. I got to go to the one and only aquarium here in Utah. Then I got to go for a drive into the mountains and then I got to go to a movie- How to Train your Dragon (which was fantastic and I recommend to anyone and everyone. I LOVED it!) Anyway, the aquarium was pretty good. There were jelly fish and penguins and sea horses and amazon fish and a coral playground and many other fishy things. Too bad we went during the spring break of all Utah's children, and too bad they all decided to go to the aquarium to celebrate. I had to fight like a kid to see some of the fish. ;) (Don't judge)

 

And I got a new (giant) stuffed Sea Otter, which is fabulous because Sea Otters are my FAVORITE animals EVER!

Eggs-celent

Really? I had to use the cheesy, yet classic, egg pun. Forgive me.
Point is: I just wanted to show these amazing and festive Easter eggs. Not an Easter has gone by that I haven't dyed eggs. Well, except that one time in Armenia, but that Easter I got to eat a sacrificed animal cooked in holy and blessed water instead. So that's okay too I guess. Gotta love those animal sacrifices that the Armenian's still do.....

But I digress. So here they are in all their egg glory:

The Happenings

Do you like him? It was my first attempt at a dragon cake but certainly not my last. Happy Birthday apple cheeks. ;)

It was also a pirate night as well. 

I've also done some bowling and eaten some greasy magical corn dogs

Then we went to a Chinese dance concert at an Egyptian theater after eating some Thai food. Yummmmm

 

Then I got to go to my first ever professional basketball game. Lower bowl seats. I'll admit, it was fun but mainly because I got to eat a hot dog and wear a green head band and have a green foam finger and all this green-ness happened on St. Patrick's day!

 

 Then I got to go see "Attack of the Space Pirates" at the Planetarium. 

That's right. They don't want the high seas. They want the universe!

 

Got to be on the weather channel

And go to the MOON!

 

All in all it's been a wild month. 

Oh. 

And I got a job. 

I'm a residential assistant at a treatment center for teenage girls. Got lots of crazy stories already but must remain confidential. ;)
