Baby Animal Festival

We went somewhere new this spring and tried out a baby animal festival. There were lots of baby animals to interact with! And we went on a Monday night and had lots of space to ourselves. It was magical!

The biggest hit of the night were the baby goats!

We were able to pet but not hold the bunnies.

And while the cows weren't nearly as exciting as the goats, the kids seemed to be just as excited to brush them and pet them.

There were other animals too like sheep, a camel, a yak, and pigs but we could only look at those.

Lastly, there were baby chicks.

There were also lots of other fun things to do like a wagon ride, a cow train, rock wall, archery, a slide, bounce pad, and some other things!  And we ended the night with some caramel apples.

It was a great night!

Tulip Festival

Annual Tulip Festival at Thanksgiving point! This year my real camera was broken :( So I had to make due with my phone. But I am very grateful for our amazing technology and what these phone cameras are still capable of!

We went with a few neighbors and that was fun! Lots of pretty flowers.

If you're wondering why Rose looks so sad in that last group photo, it has to do with this last story. Johnny and his friend were playing and the friend found a metal pole and accidentally jabbed Johnny's eye. But God is good and watched out for him because it just barely missed his actual eye ball! But he still got a decent cut right below and the whole thing was a bit traumatizing but it ended with a worker giving Johnny some free ice cream. Rose was very sad and worried about Johnny because she is the sweetest sister. But then she was very upset that she didn't also get ice cream because she is five years old, after all. ;) So that's why she's so mad at the end there. haha
But Johnny and his friend ended on good terms and walked out hand in hand. Johnny's poor friend felt so bad about it. But all's well that ends well, right?

 Lastly, here's the day after!
