The next day we checked out of our hotel and made our way to Old Town San Diego. There's a dizzying market there full of fun Mexican gems and other assorted randomness.
After that we went to the Mormon Battalion Church History Site.
They had a whole program to watch and learn about what happened. Johnny got volunteered to play a part haha
After the tour you can pan for gold and learn about how bricks were made and also go to the look out tower.
And then a whole photo shoot happened on the steps.
After all of that fun, and some Mexican food, we stopped by the temple and the cousins got a photo and then we parted ways with my sister and her family, who were staying in San Diego and we were driving to LA for one more fun day.
