Hello Dolly

A few weekends ago I got to make a quick trip back home to Boise to see my parents perform in the play "Hello Dolly." My dad had one of the lead male roles and my mom was in the ensemble. I haven't been able to see them perform in a very long time so I wanted to go! The problem was it was a few days before our trip to California and we were driving down and it seemed way too crazy to drive to Boise and back with all the kids and then turn around and drive to California. So, in short, I ended up talking my dear friend, Tanya, into going with me and we were able to make a fun, quick, little trip out of it.

We stopped at a legit diner on the drive there.

The next morning we rescued baby birds (that my sister ended up finding a friend to take them in afterwards, since the rescue center wasn't taking any birds due to bird flu.)

We went swimming. It was cloudy at first but once my sister showed up with her family the sun came out.

Then we went to dinner and to the play. My parents did a wonderful job, as always, and I'm so glad I was able to go! Tanya also really enjoyed it!

The next morning we drove back to Utah (in a lot of rain!) and stopped at Twin Falls to see the gorge and we got to see someone base jumping as well!

It was a fun little trip with lots of time for Tanya and me to talk without our kids needing us! haha

What a fun, quick trip! I'm glad you got to see your parents in the play. I love that they are involved in the theater community!
