Then we went to “Artist’s Palate” a hill/mountain range of colorful, plant less hills. The mineral pigments color the volcanic deposits purple, mint, yellow, orange, and pink! It was incredible and you can get out and hike and wander all over them with no set trail. I’d never seen anything like it! The kids had fun exploring too! We were there in full sunlight but I hear the colors are even more vibrant in low light.
