During our week in McCall and Boise Idaho (yes, I'm still, somehow,
blogging about this,) I gave June my old SLR camera and Hazel my old
point and shoot and I let them take photos with reckless abandon. I love
doing this. It causes them to notice little things, to get excited
about colors and nature, to show us how they view their world and those
of us around them. They want to explore more and forget about TV shows
or fruit snacks.

Hazel learned the art of taking a "selfie" and also went on a little wild flower date with Buck and me because she was excited to take photos of the flowers. My heart!
So here are some of my favorites that she took, that I feel best represent her and how she sees things.

So I really like her close up flower pictures and her selfies crack me up. I like the ones at the store especially the suckers and that moth is cool and then I like the one of the lake with the tree stumps in it. I don't know if maybe she's moving the camera when she took that picture but I thought it was kind of cool with the hazy look.
