Hawaii- Day 5

Monday we got to take a boat ride out to a crater where they take you snorkeling. Too bad June got sea sick. :( But other than that it was awesome. (and she was fine after throwing up.... poor baby.) They also took us to another area to swim with sea turtles! Which, I actually didn't do because June wanted to take a nap on me. But that was fine since I'm her mom and I've already swam with sea turtles. ;) (It was with a local boy in Oahu when I was there for school. He took us away from the tourist area, dove down and got us their seaweed food and then the turtles came and ate out of our hands! I don't think I even realized that day how lucky I was.) So on the boat ride back to Maui a pack (a heard? A trist?) of dolphins came up and swan all around us! There were so many- more than I've ever seen at once. Probably 50 of them! They were jumping up and spinning in the air. Dolphins sure are show-offs.

The crater- Molokini

Legit?

After that we took shifts of going to the beach without the June bug so she could rest

That night we all went out to dinner. We looked up some places online and found one that sounded the best and most comprehensive. Once we got there it turned out to be some fancy place on the ocean. We decided to stay. ;)

The Humuhumunukunukuapua'a Restaurant.

And it was awesome because the waiter gave June a stuffed fish for a present! And she needs a fish tank in her room, we've decided. She loves it.

I have never seen dolphins in the wild like that but I did go on a whale watch cruise once and we actually saw two adult whales and a baby; it was really cool! Those pictures of you and Buck playing in the water remind me of a dream I had back when Frank and I were "dating" (actually writing letters and talking hours on the phone)...I dreamed I was in Hawaii with him standing in the ocean. It was so beautiful! Someday maybe that dream will come true...
