On Saturday we decided to go drive on another crazy one-lane road that went on the edge of cliffs and at one point turns into dirt. It's called "The Road to Hana"- Hana is a village up in the Hawaiian mountains. There are lots of cool little places to stop along the way but it was a lot of driving and we didn't think June was going to love all the stops so Buck and June and I took separated from my family. They had a lot of adventures themselves but our main event for that day was stopping to do a hike to some waterfalls and then to a bamboo forest! It was amazing! I've never been anywhere like that before. It got so thick it was dark and when the wind would blow, all the bamboo would clank together and sound like giant wind chimes.

The view on the drive home was unlike anything I've ever seen. I only took a few photos and then gave up because there was no way for me to capture it. Once we were down in the valley we also got to drive through miles and miles of sugar cane fields. So crazy!
When we got back to the condo we went swimming in the pool.
Can't complain.

Yes bamboo forests are awesome. Anyone else ever been in one? was I the last?
I have never been in a bamboo forest but I would like to see one! I loved the picture of Buck and June where her hat and his hair matched--both blown back off their foreheads! :)
