Camellia had work off so we had a day all together. The kids spent some time in the morning, as they did many times throughout the week, gathering up the kittens and playing with them and making them a cozy home in a cardboard box.
Then we decided to go to Waterton together and this time go to a different area called “Red Rock Canyon” where we did a short hike to a waterfall and then climbed down into the red rock little canyon that had a stream flowing through it. Eveyln and Rose and Johnny all fell into the ice-cold water while trying to walk across it but they were good sports about it. We had a picnic lunch nearby at a picnic table.

Then we went into the little Waterton town and first the kids played at a park for a while, and played card games, and June chased after deer. And then we got some ice cream and ate it on the rocky lake beach and practiced skipping rocks. We were surprised by a sudden thunderstorm that rolled in out of nowhere and the kids excitedly ran for the cars that we had parked back at the park. We were all pretty wet! Haha
