Halloween Celebrations

Hi! I just wanted to make a separate post for some of the other celebrations we did surrounding Halloween! Like pumpkin carving/decorating while Erin, Dan, and Ginny were here visiting. We even had some festive donuts.

We also went to the church/neighborhood trunk or treat as well but I forgot to get a photo. But the girls loved playing with friends, voting on pumpkins, and trunk or treating in the rain.

On the actual day, Hazel and I went and helped out at June's school Halloween party, mostly so I could meet the boy she has a crush on... Hazel did well just lounging while I directing a game. haha

We got to show off costumes to Aunt Jade, Uncle Curtis and their new baby girl! But more on that later!

We went to Buck's work party and the girls got way too much candy....

And then Buck and I made the girls a spooky dinner! I was really proud of how it turned out. It wasn't a lot of work, it was food they liked and it looked festive!

AND we can't forget that we watched Hocus Pocus, a true Halloween tradition. :) After dinner the girls got to go real trick or treat around the neighborhood and now we have WAY too much candy! But I'd say the holiday was a success and lived up to the expectations of two little girls who had been counting down the days.

Also, in closing, I wanted to show some photos from the Halloween photo shoot this year, a week before halloween. We kept it small and with family. It was hilarious because without knowing Erin and Dan dressed up as Alice in Wonderland character and so did Qyunn and Chelsea's family!
Erin made her dress!
 Attacking Buck!
 Denny's restaurant afterwards
 Happy Halloween!

I love how creative you got with pumpkins, I love your spooky dinner ( I think I may want to incorporate that next year and drop the pumpkin carving) And I of course, LOVE your Halloween photo shoots. We just did our family this year but it was successful so I may think of inviting another family or two next year and bringing your tradition to Oregon!

Wow, it's been a long time since I have commented on here. Of course I read most of these posts the day you posted them... Great shots of everyone's Halloween costumes. I love that your sister and cousins coordinated. Too funny! Also, this year was my favorite for your girl's costumes. So cute! Your mom and you did a great job putting them together!
