Tomatoes. We had quite a few but the girls picked a ton of them when they were still green. Bummer.
I feel like I could have drawn a little face on this carrot and made it look like someone doubled over in stomach pain.
We had a lot of green beans! But I missed half of them too before they dried out.
Sad news, our big peach tree died this year. :( I am so sad about it. But thankfully we have another small one and it surprised us and gave us several dozen peaches!
Some stumpy carrots
Um, like one of four tiny strawberries we got... but I'm counting this as a win since it's never worked before in previous attempts.
Sweet potatoes that look like vital organs.
This is one of the most exciting to me! The raspberries! There were several other handfuls that looked like this. It's was a small thrill for me to check every week for new berries.
This is the one sugar pumpkin that grew. Buck plans to make a pie out of it.
We also grew a garden full of gourds! That was something new we tried and even though we got too excited and cut them out before they were full grown... it's been fun to have the fall decorations straight from the earth.
And thus ends our garden chronicles for the year. Hoping we get even more diligent next year!

I like those gourds a lot and now that you got even just a couple of raspberry plants started next year they should exponentially multiply if all goes well and you'll be surprised hopefully how many more you will get. Here's to a new year.
Compared to my 3 tomoato plants, and our plum tree, your garden in flourishing! You vital organ sweet potatoes are the best! I aspire to grow my own vegetables but it might be awhile!
We're not very great at gardening either. We have had no success with strawberries which is very disappointing since I love them. But you are doing much better than us because the last few years we haven't even tried to plant anything!
I just read your comment on my blog about photography. The sad thing is, I do have a really great camera, and some of the photos I've taken were taken with it. I just need to learn how to use it, I guess. You are right, though...my heart is in it!
