Lately- Spooky October

Another month come and gone. I suppose this is why adults want to start celebrating Christmas so early.... time just keeps getting faster and faster.

This first photo is apparently about a time that Hazel was sick. But I don't even remember right now.

The one and only time that Buck let Abe actually sit on his lap. Abe tried to play it cool but then we started acting like a spaz because he was so excited.

A time when Hazel was not sick, she got to hold her baby cousin and it was cute.

iHop with the aunt and cousin. (we've been to ihop a lot recently, weird.)

Hazel had a random blow out that got her shirt dirty so I tried to make her a shirt out of paper towels. She was not impressed.

While we tried to watch General Conference the natives got restless...

I need to make a whole post about what's been happening in my world of photography but until then let these photos be enough. Buck and I were learning about studio lights and Chris, the photographer got this great one of my handsome Buck.
And then he had us pose like this and it was funny because we're not normally very tender and intimate in front of a camera but aside from that its a beautiful photo!

Good times at the animal farm.
We even got to hold some naked baby rats! There's a first time for everything I suppose...

Some early Halloween dress ups. I loved June helping Hazel with her witch socks,

A youth activity at church play "human hungry hungry hippos."

Uncle-niece cuddle time.

We had some friends over and painted a bunch of gourds from our garden and we had cider and donuts. And made some leaf art. That's my one crafty thing for the year.

I got to go with June on her preschool field trip to the fire station. It was a lot of fun!
She got to spray the hose

We went to the farmers market by the library one Friday night and got some honey.
Then we went and had pizza with family!
And then went and saw Hotel Transylvania. Hazel actually watched the whole thing- a first!
At a Pinkalicious birthday party, very cute!
How Hazel ate her cupcake at home, drunk on life I suppose.

Happy girl at the park!

June took her pops on a date to see the Beauty and the Beast play at Hale Center Theater

And that lucky girl got some ice cream
And a crazy photo from her pop's broken camera phone haha

Meanwhile I soothed Hazel's left out heart ache with a sucker.

More on this one day but just know that I went to an awesome conference for non profits and it was life changing.

June decided that she was a baby again or something and colored all over the bathroom
As she sat in time out she cried and rubbed her eyes and.... it was hard to keep my stern mom face.

Hazel was determined to carry this by herself though the store.

Breakfast time zone out

June's been going under the water for the first times ever at her new swimming lessons! It's great! Even if she still get scared she does it and we are proud.

Sometimes Whiskey can turn his chin black and it's super weird.

We went to our mountain spot again but brought some friends this time.

Pop's birthday! We had sushi first
And then rented our own room for bowling! This had its perks:

So long October! I'll admit, it's one of the best months. I don't like the winter that comes after it and I LOVE the summers before it but there is something special about the fall time and I'm grateful for this month.

You are so on top of your photo dumps. I have one that I started at the beginning of the summer...but naked bowling sounds awesome! And your studio light photos are awesome. :)

That IS a really great photo of Buck!

Jared and I were just talking the other day about how October is the perfect month, because there are nice cool days when you need a sweater but it's not every day...there are still plenty of warm days. Plus the leaves are beautiful, Halloween is fun, and General Conference is awesome!

Oh, and that picture of June with blue on her face is priceless! Did the blue marker come off of the countertop / vanity / toilet? I hope so!
