So, even though pretty much all of you who read this already know... We're having a GIRL!! And we're excited!
I know that there's kind of this hope to have your second child be the opposite gender of the first to ensure that you will experience both sexes, but honestly I was kind of hoping for another girl. I would have been excited for a boy too, of course, but... I don't know. I like the idea of June having a little sister to play with. I mean, that's all I know, I grew up with just my older sister and me. Plus we have girl stuff. And I know girls. I have NO idea about boys and they make me more nervous. (although I like the idea of having three kids so on the last it would be great to give Buck a son, right? But I don't see me being that woman who keeps having kids to get the other gender... if #3 is a girl then Buck will just be surrounded and happy with that.) ;)
Aside from that, I've had dreams about her and have felt a special bond. I wont share them because they are more personal, but I had one about her before we were even pregnant, and then once I got pregnant, but before I knew the gender, I had a few dreams about her being a baby girl. In the first dream I ever had I also dreamed about her name. So that's what we'll probably end up using. The name is no secret but I feel like there are bad omens for announcing the name to the world wide web before the baby is born. But anyone can ask me to my face. :)
So, yeah! That's that. Everything seems to be good with her so far. I'll find out more tomorrow at my appointment but the ultrasound tech said that there wasn't anything earth shattering she found today so that's good. Something that has given me peace is that I have been able to feel her kick and move for a good month now. It's crazy because I didn't feel June until closer to this time. But we've been able to feel her and even see her move in my tummy. It's fun that Buck has been able to feel her already too. It makes everything more real.
Can we just talk about how much higher my belly is right now?! It seems about the same size, but yeah, about 100 x higher. I carried June pretty high as it was so I didn't think it could get any further up- but yet... here's the proof!
Other than that life is well. No more nausea so I can thank my heavens every night for that. Hurray for the second trimester and being half way there!

Hooray for baby girl! How about the umbilical cord? Buck will be a great dad to all his kids whether they are all girls or not! haha!
Also, Praise you for thinking of #3 already...yikes!
I'm glad it's a girl too. You'll probably have all the girls and I'll get stuck with all the boys. ;-)
I wanted my second one to be a boy, since I already had a boy, so I get how you feel. We didn't have an ultrasound at all but I just couldn't imagine a girl that time so I wasn't even surprised to have a boy. Then I knew my third one was going to be a boy before I was even pregnant. So number four was the only one that surprised me...I really thought "he" was going to be a "she".
So the blog I had for you was one you hadn't updated in a long time? So glad to find this one! Haha and congrats!!! So jealous it's a girl!
