We've had a lot of great dates lately. Aside from going to plays and the temple and some movie nights, there have been a couple more unique ones I wanted to document here.
One of these was going to a place called Evermore. I've been wanting to go for a few years! It's like a medieval fantasy village. The workers are dressed up and in character- I had no idea so many people in Utah were able to do fake British accents. haha not only that but most people who go visit are also dressed up, so we were the odd ones out for sure. There were fairies, pirates, knights, princesses, Zeldas, ogres, vikings, witches, wizards, and really anything fantasy, someone was dressed up for it. You get to go around and visit the different buildings like the tavern, the Inn, the crypt... and there are quests that you can go on if you want. There were also a few shows like a bird and reptile show, an old circus and a dragon. You can also joust, take a train ride, or throw knives.... I don't know. It was all so wonderfully random and, as always, we kept thinking about the kids and how much they would love it too. ;) So maybe we'll have to go back.
There's also an awesome viking tavern type restaurant there so we started off with dinner there and it was honestly so good.
And then another different date was going tubing down the Provo River with a huge group of friends from the neighborhood. It was soooo cold and ended up being cloudy most of the time and even rained and thundered for a minute! But it was so treacherously funny, I can't even explain it. We all hooked up and so we were this huge honeycomb of adults on tubes, this mass floating down the river and often someone on the edge would get ran into the sides into trees or get stuck on a rock in the middle of the river and we kept having to rescue each other and it sounds a bit barbaric but it was hilarious and I was either laughing or screaming at any given moment.
