Lately- July

Oh blessed July. I can't actually comprehend how we did so much in one month. I mean, there's all of this but then all the other posts from what we did this month like Lagoon, June's birthday, 4th of July, Pioneer day, etc. While I'm not actually a fan of being too busy for the sake of being busy, I do love a summer full of summery things! But the strangest part is that somehow despite all these things, we had so many lazy moments too, days spent watching too much TV or half the neighborhood of kids in my house. How is it possible? How can there not be enough time EVER but too much time sometimes too? A true summer twilight zone.

First up- June went camping with Buck. A couple summers ago they went several times and last year only once since Buck got sick. Looks like only one time this too but still so good!

Crazy and lazy summer mornings.

We went boating a lot this month. Here's the first trip of the month.

My sister saw this sunset photo from Idaho! I had to share it!

A few of us took our best friend, Giannina, out for her birthday and we made our own rings and then went out to dinner!

Exhausting ourselves at the water park.

Date night! Good food and good company.

Bleu's first birthday!

Next up, boating with my sister and her family.

Our first time back to the temple in 17 months!!!!

Everyone needs a cuddle.

While my parents were in town, we went to the arcade and the kids got to go to a movie too!
Johnny and I won over 700 tickets at one game!

Our neighborhood service group went and picked names and got some items for kids at a local shelter.

And Rose was real grumpy. Check out this face!

While my family was in town, so were a few of my dad's siblings so one evening we all met up in the canyon and had a dinner together.
My grandma made this peacock for June's birthday gift!

Then some boating with my parents!

June in the galaxy

And Johnny , in a galaxy far, far away. (He recently started to get obsessed with Star Wars!)

Another kids service activity, this time to wash the fire trucks. But as soon as we got there the firemen got called out for a fire! So we took a few photos and then all went to get shaved ice. haha

Some action shots of spaghetti night.

Coloring in the boogie board. A major church time accomplishment.

Buck and I got to go on a real date! We went to a Native American powwow and watched that for a while then got food at one of the food trucks and wandered the outdoor market. It felt so good to be together!

Early morning hike with a friend! We hiked to the "G" on the side of the mountain. There are a lot of letters on the Utah mountain sides to mark different cities but this was my first time hiking to one.

I think I already posted this boating trip on my Pioneer day post but now that I've uploaded the photos here, might as well add it to this monthly post of boating. haha

And, if you can believe it, I'm still not done yet. Next up- going to see Beauty and the Beast youth addition at Hale Center Theater. They always do such an amazing, 5 star job!

Family time watching the Wizard of Oz.
And Rose reminding me that I can never get rid of the dog.

Hazel and her many pop up books.

S'mores night with their uncle and aunt under a smoky sky.
(June's making movies pf the s'mores on that tablet, not watching shows...)

Our dear neighbor from our old neighbrohood, Glade, passes away recently. So we took June to the funeral since she's the only kid to truly remember. She grew up next door to him and as she got older would go over to his yard while he gardened and would talk his ear off. He was always sharing his produce with us. He was such a kind man!

Dinner with some old friends from choir! I haven't done the choir in over a year! It was good to see the sopranos.

Family appreciation barbeque with CCS. You know, it was nice and we did feel appreciated so thank you CCS! I got some selfies too with our family consultant and case manager! Amazing women!

So chic.

One of my best friends, Kenzi, got remarried! I could take a whole post to write about all the many feelings but for now I'll just leave this photo I got with her and another old companion from the mission! (we all served together!)

Are you still with me? I told you there was a lot! But to end out the month it was Buck's mom's birthday! And since his parents currently live in our basement, we were able to do a few fun decorations and celebrate with her!

Phew! No wonder I look so tired in all the photos I'm in! Haha! Life is wild but I'm grateful we have been able to do so much out in the warm summer air!

That was definitely a busy month. July is my favorite, though!!

So does the G stand for "Grove" in Pleasant Grove? I have always wondered. Seems so random.

Your friend and former neighbor Glade looks so much like Frank's dad! I showed the photo of him to Seth and asked him if it reminded him of anyone. He said "That's grandpa." Seth was so surprised when I told him it wasn't his grandpa!! So strange how much alike they look.

Well I know of a lot of the things you did but it’s always fun to see the things I didn’t know you did. I am sad to see summer go.
