HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JOHNNY!
Dear Johnny,
You know, as a newborn, and your first year, you were kind of a hard baby. But you have by far made up for any of that by how cute, silly, and fun you've been the past couple years! You've been such a treat!
You're SUCH a goof ball. I can't even begin to explain it all but you make funny little croaking sounds, and there was a phase when most of what you said was in this silly voice where you suck the air in and talk at the same time. 😆 You love to laugh! You are so ticklish and constantly jumpy because you think someone is about to tickle you. Nothing makes you laugh harder than an "arm pit check." You seem to have also taken up your mantle of "little brother" and love to tease and torment your sisters when the mood strikes you. You also love to make "bum bum" jokes.
"Hi bum bum!"
"Johnny, don't call me 'bum bum,' I'm 'mom.'"
"Okay Mommy bum bum!"
And if ever I thought that little boys loved certain things only because their parents forced them to, then I was very wrong. You came into a household of sisters with girly things all around you. And yet you've been naturally drawn to and obsessed with all things trucks, cars, construction equipment, rocket ships, tools, and, more recently, you've been getting into star wars, pirates, and super heroes.
You also love many other things as well. You love going to the mountains, boating, pizza-movie night, running, bubbles, throwing balls (or throwing anything, really. Please stop throwing everything at me, 😂) playing with friends, animals, watching shows, and playing with all your many toys.
You're so much fun. You're so loving and cute. You love to give these big bear hugs around our necks. You're obsessed with your dad and ask about him all day that he's gone at work, but yet every single night you insist and demand that I, mommy, put you to bed. Which reminds me, could we please pick a new bedtime lullaby? As much as I love the lullaby from Frozen 2, I'm getting real tired of singing it twice a day for nap and bedtime. haha Lately I've had to tuck you into bed with your new little light saber. It's the best as you sit on my lap for a book before hand, you really calm down and love books.
Some of your current favorite things include the shows Blaze and Paw Patrol. Your favorite color has always been green. Your favorite foods include pizza, smoothies, cereal, and peanut butter and honey sandwiches.
Having a fourth child was really scary and hard for me. At that point in time I was feeling really spread thin as a mother and human. I didn't think I could do a good job. But I knew you were waiting in the wings of heaven and that you were meant for our family. With full faith in that, you came into this world and our family. And as I knew would be the case, you've been 1,000,000% worth it. I may still not be the best mom but you've been the best baby for our family. You bring us so much happiness, laughter, and peace!
We love you soooo much Johnny! Happy birthday to the best three year old!!! Here's to all the years to come!

How is he three?!! Where did the last three years go? Ha ha!
He is such a cutie!! I am sad that I live so far away and that I only got to see your family that one time while I was visiting Utah. I would like to spend more time with all of you!
We love him and he is every bit a boy. His smile and enthusiasm lights up a room. I’m glad he came to our family. It wouldn’t be the same without him.
