Oh family "vacations." 😆 They are a mixed bag for sure.
I had been looking forward to this Lake Powell trip for several months! It's all we've had planned since a year ago and all we have for this whole year! We rented a camper and Buck's family also has campers.
There were some hard things like several of the kids, including mine, got sick with a stomach bug and were throwing up on different days. (why NOW? lol) It was either super hot or a blasting sand storm that torn apart a few canopy tents! And I was in a bit of a weird mental spot.
HOWEVER- there were many more good things! So let's have a look, shall we?
There were fun times every day at our beach spot, fun on our boat, rented jet skies, kayaks and paddle boards, family game nights, hiking on the red hills in the evening, the warm water, Buck and I had a little mini date on the boat, we cliff jumped. June got her hair braided by Haben, the little cousins, over all, loved playing together, there was a beautiful full moon, and of course getting to spend time all together and grateful that both Winta and Haben could also make it, as their schedules are busy!

That looks so fun! The Lake Powell area is so beautiful!! Sorry the kids got sick, though.
We just got back from a trip like this. Hard as a parent, but SO fun for the kids. When that happens I always wonder how many trips that I loved were actually rotten for my parents. Ha ha! It looks like you had some good moments though! And great photos as always :)
