As is the tradition around this home, we always celebrate birthdays. And turning the big TEN is no exception.
For June's birthday this year she woke up to fun decorations, had coffee cake and then got to open presents.
Then her best friend came over and we took all of June's month old braids out to reveal true 80's hair.
A little while later her friends came over for her party. We met up and then headed to a small town theater that we rented out for her birthday! She chose to watch The Lego Movie and each girl got pop corn, a drink, and candy (spoiled girls!) They had fun watching the movie but also playing truth or dare, running down the aisles, and dancing on the stage- you know, things you can't do in a public movie theater. ;)
June even got a rainbow on the drive home.
Then we went back home and had presents and cake! and they hung out and had a "late over." (where the kids can stay late but go home to sleep.)
As you can see, June is not lacking for birthday celebrations. It was a good day and we love her so much!

What a perfect party for a 10 year old. I saw the announcement on the theater and wondered if it was for your June. Ha ha!
What a fun idea to be able to rent out a movie theater and watch a movie and play on the stage. Couldn’t be more perfect for June. Beautiful rainbow and that cake was really fun with all the splashes of color. And that hair was pretty awesome after taking out all those braids.
