Spring Break

Spring break was hard work for me and non stop fun for my kids. haha. I mean, I had fun too :) Makes it all worth it! Since we were unable to travel anywhere, I decided to make the best of life at home in good old Utah.

First up: Swimming! We paid for 90 minutes of free pool time, the whole pool to ourselves + the friends we invited. It was perfect too because it was rainy and cold that day but we were in nice warm water under a roof. :)

The next day I arranged a fun little color festival for the kids and invited neighbors. We got colored chalk and let the kids go at it! (inspired by India's Holi color festival that they do for the spring.)

Then the next day we went with some friends to the Planetarium! It's been closed for a year and just reopened so that was exciting. Afterwards we went and played at a fun park in the city.

And then, on Friday we were invited to go to the Tulip festival with some friends. It was fun to run and play and talk. We had a long picnic too and the kids spent a hour rolling down the hills. However, it was the first day of the festival and I think we saw four flowers in bloom haha. But it was worth it for the friends!

My favorite part of the week, though? The night I broke all parenting rules and we had popcorn for dinner and danced and sang for over an hour in the kitchen to show tunes. 💙

I'm grateful that there are so many ways to enjoy life!
