A Weekend in the Tulips

This past weekend we had the AMAZING opportunity to go see tulip fields similar to those in Holland! Only we didn't have to travel to Europe but merely take a quick flight to Washington state! My parents were there for the week using a condo time share and invited us to come. My sister came too for the weekend. And then it worked out that our good friends Max and Rebecca (my old mission companion) who live in Portland, were also able to come up and visit (and leave their kids with her mom) so we were all kid-less! Well, except for My parents had their kids there. 😅

We went to one tulip festival in the morning and another in the afternoon. Prepare for tulip photo overload! (also sorry if blogger is over saturating my images? Seems it might. But it really was this colorful and dramatic so it works I guess!) It was also very rainy and muddy. I was prepared and Buck was not. He nearly lost his shoes several times in the sticky mud. haha

So here is my "instagram photo" and then the actualy reality photo. haha So many people try and get these perfect photos to make it seem like they were there all alone and it was perfect weather and stuff. Had to make fun of it a little. 😜

After that and some yummy lunch, we headed to the next place, Roozengard! Max and Rebecca met up with us there as well. And this place was EVEN BETTER! A whole garden of colors dancing around each other, my heart could hardly handle it! And then even larger fields of tulips! (and a lot more mud haha)

This photo also makes me laugh, I thought Buck would like zoom in or something but instead he took the photo like this and my head just popping up like one of the flowers.

After we finally left heaven, we drove by even larger fields!

It was such a colorful day, despite the grey weather! It was truly a once in a life time opportunity that I'll never forget!
