Italy: Day One- Florence

After all of that travel and sleeping and stuff, we ventured off on our first day in Florence!

This is a cool view of Florence that I did not see myself. I think my bro-in-law took it? Anyway, I thought it was cool to start off with. So, here's Florence.

For us, and any smart person traveling to Italy, one of the first things you should do is check out the food. You can't go wrong in Italy. It's either pizza, pasta, or pastries.

And, of course, GELATO.

Aside from that, I'll let the photos tell most of the stories but basically we wandered around, went to a couple different markets, saw the statue of David, ate some more food, and rode a carousel.

June upon seeing the statue of David, "His private parts look like a snake....."
Hazel did what any reasonable three year old would do.

Buck's "museum face."
Does anyone else shop like this? Just take photos of the things you wish you could buy?
I title this series "Trying to take a photo with a three year old."

Next up- Day two!

I don't know how i glanced over this one but i love it too! I think my favorite photo is Hazel skipping on the stones...with the pillars. I'm also a huge fan of June's spaghetti face!

Ack! I just discovered that Feedly doesn’t tell me when you post now that your blog is private... I so far behind!!!!! And it’s 3:00 in the morning so I really shouldn’t read them all now... ANYWAY... I love these. So much. I feel like I was there. Such good storytelling.
