Fall Photoshoot

All of the crazy bright reds and oranges on the mountain tops are driving me WILD. I feel this constant need to stop everything I'm doing and to drive to find all those colors and to take photos of them and of people in them!! I NEED them! Those colors!! I can't handle it!

So I set up a day to go hunt them down and take photos of my girls because they will forever be stuck as my favorite people to photograph. Buck ended up not being able to make it :( but thankfully a friend in my neighborhood did and she brought her kid. But then there was drama when we had to climb a steep hill and there was a spider web and the girls were acting like they were going to DIE and that their legs were broken. So I can't lie, not all photo shoots are magical and happy. Plus all this struggle landed us in some weird light while I could see the light I really wanted further up the slopes. I was, I'll admit, a little grumpy.

Once we had all had enough of the drama and went back to the car, the thoughtful world gave us a remarkable gift of a sinking, slinking sun that was getting tucked into bed by the mountains. The view was worth the steepness and the spiders and I was overwhelmed by the simple soul soothing light.

But- I came home convinced I had NO good photos. Yet I am happy to report that I was very wrong! And somehow miracles, (and some photoshop for that weird light!) happened. And I think I'll go climb some more mountains today.

Buck said this photo was too yellow. Then I told him that's because this is what it looked like and it wasn't even photoshopped. HA
This photo is the most accurate of the night, however. haha

Once we got to the car:
I just have to get these awkward baby bump photos everywhere I go, right?

Worth it.

These turned out so cute! We are going up AF canyon tonight for FHE to scout out some locations. I am a sucker for fall photos.

AHHHHH...so many good ones! I can't even list my favorites. I had the urge multiple times throughout this post to jump in the car and drive there so you can do family photos for us! Just proof that you are an amazing photographer and can work in any conditions!! And the girls' socks are excellent! Now I'm going to scroll through them again...

I can totally see why those colors are driving you crazy!! I was just there and now I want to go back. I love the Utah mountain fall colors!! You definitely did get some great pictures in spite of all the obstacles. The last two are fabulous! I also love the ones of the girls holding hands with the mountain behind them (earlier), and all the scenic shots without people in them, too.

Oh, and those socks are to cute!

TOO cute, not to! I'm not sure why the second "o" wasn't there. The spelling Nazi in me is horrified!
