Oh Christmas Tree

In past years Buck has gone to get us a tree and I usually stay home, away from the dark cold air. But this year we decided to start the tradition of going to pick one out at a family. And it went about the way it should. You know how it goes, you look forward to it all year but once you're there you are cold and miserable and someone, in my family it was my mom, is taking too long trying to pick the perfect one. For us, it was more convincing June to let go of her instant attachment to a squatty, sparse tree.  But there were some good times too. And we found a great tree.
He was so tired of me taking photos. Well, in all fairness, he's been tired of me taking photos for a good five years.
She was mad at me about something, who knows what, and she was trying not to smile but instead keep her unhappy face.  Ah, tree hunting.
Success!

HAHA, I thought it was funny at first that you stay home when Buck goes to pick out a tree, but then I realized you went to a lot instead of a farm and it made more sense...but truth be told, we have a fake tree and we are surrounded by well priced Christmas tree farms. We are abominable Oregonians. We will get a real tree someday when we have a living room to support it.

We have a fake tree too. It's easier, but I do like real trees better. We did get a real tree the year we lived in New York and it was beautiful! But our practical sides win out. :)

I really appreciate the last photo being Buck opening the car door like "let's go, we're DONE HERE"
