Buck's birthday was on Sunday this year so we turned it into a weekend celebration. He didn't seem to mind. So on Saturday I decorated a little bit and made the traditional coffee cake breakfast.
Last year we had a big party, which he loved, but this year I wanted to do something that was would make his favorite kind of day. So dinner and a movie it was! We never get to do this anymore and it's really all he wants. First we went to a movie at the cheap theater. We still hadn't seen the newest Hunger Games movie so that's what we saw. It was good!
Afterwards Buck could choose anywhere he wanted to go for dinner. I guess that was too overwhelming and he had no opinion on the matter. So we drove around and ended up at a local "hole in the wall" awesome wild west restaurant. Yet, all we got was a milk shake since we still couldn't decide.
Finally we decided on pizza. We picked a laid back place and it ended up being just what Buck wanted, even if he didn't know it before hand. ;)
Cheap theater and some pizzas? This guy is a cheap date!
Sunday morning, on his real birthday, we had early church so I got him a little cherry pie for breakfast and gave him the card I made. I don't normally get crafty, but lately I don't even know myself.
After church some family came over.
This photo is just funny to me so I had to add it. Stirring mac and cheese is apparently the most interesting thing.
The week before when I asked what he wanted to eat he said he wanted cheese and crackers. Okay.... easy again! So I got all the fixings.
Sticky popcorn!
And then we played some Yahtzee with the few family members and the girls. Buck would spend all day playing games if he could.
There was some lounging. Another favorite past time.
And I made him a homemade dark chocolate cake with his favorite candy!
Then we headed over to my grandparents house for a cousin dinner and birthday desserts with all the relatives.

| June took this photo and I love it |
We also got to go see my Grandparent's neighbor's awesome backyard! This man built a whole wild west town on his land. It's just amazing! I'm going to go back in the summer and do a photographic study of the place so stay tuned.
The cake was a big hit with everyone.
Especially the girls.
Happy Birthday Buck- You sexy 31 year old you. I think it's safe to safe that you are loved 31 times a million.
