I could make a list of 31 reasons why I love you and then keep going. I could write about hundreds of adventures we've been on. I could note all the things you've accomplished in 31 years. I could show you your beautiful daughters. I could tell you all about the plans and dreams I have for the years to come. But it would all really just be to say that you are amazing. And that I love you.
So maybe you're getting pretty up there in age, but I still think you've got it going on. I mean, for an old guy, you somehow manage to get more attractive as the years roll by.
You've worn a lot of hats over your life. You've been a student and a teacher, a child and a man, a friend-boyfriend-fiance-husband-father, a son and a brother, a sinner and a preacher, a wanderer and a white-picket fencer. Yet through it all you were always BUCK. Always kind and accepting and ever filled with the soul of a thousand warriors.
So here's to new paths, new cars, ten more pounds, basting turkeys, trimming trees, buckling up, making love, saving money, eating cookies, walking the dog, going to church, getting the kids to bed, and to having the lung capacity to continue to blow out the increasing number of candles on your cake.
And here's to 31 years plus forever.

So you made me cry. Love this boy and love your writing.
We need to all look at our lives the way you look at them. Such positivity. Happy birthday Buck. We are so glad he is part of our family.
I hope he had a great day!
