London: Tea Time Tourists

After all that castle and Harry Potter stuff ;) we spent a proper day in London. We rode the train into the city and then navigated our way with the underground, (thanks google maps.) The first thing we did once we got there was a tea time on a vintage 1960's double decker bus that takes you around on a city tour. It was super cute and fun and the treats were good! It was a unique experience and I'm glad we did it, although the tour part wasn't as good as I hoped, but we did see a couple famous squares, Parliament, and West Minister Abby. But because we only had one day to sight see I think this might not have made the cut, although if we had a whole week in the city, I would totally recommend it. Does that make sense? Buck's never been before and didn't get to see as much of the famous things because of the time this took. But again, it was still super fun! Also many people on he ground were pointing up at the bus and taking photos and seemed fascinated by the tea time going on inside. haha

Due to time and lines, we ended up cutting out some things but we made it to St. Paul's Cathedral and did a self guided tour there. It's an amazing church! Grateful Buck got to see it!

Had to take a photo with a bird because of that Mary Poppins song, "Feed the Birds" because the song takes place "early each day on the steps of St. Paul's."

 

And then of course we had to go to the most famous place of all- The Tower of London. We did a guided tour there, which involved the "Beef eater" telling us lots of history and stories and it was a highlight of the day!

 

After our spooky tour we went to dinner at a restaurant on the Thames and then made our way back to Berkhamstead!
