Lately- April (snow) Showers

Another month has come and gone. Closer to summer!

To start the month, I had to do a few things for April Fool's day (which we did a day late due to Easter Sunday falling on the same day.) The girls thought the pranks were hilarious and somehow Hazel became attached to that spider ice cube and kept it with her all week. Kids are weird.

Some cuddle photos, for good measure.
Of course, most of them are with my cat. ;)

Speaking of cats, this guy has been hanging around our house a bit too much... we were nervous Luna got pregnant.... but if that would have happened at least he is a pretty male! ;) (She does not seem to be pregnant!) Here he is high-tailing (har har) it out of here once he was caught yet again.

But don't worry, Buck LOVES the cats and napping with them.

Some warm days to play at the park!

And then some days are Friday the 13th and you wake up to all this snow! It was horrific! (and this happened a few different days!)
And then Friday the 13th continues and your kids make lots of messes!
Oh wait, that's nothing unusual. Every day is Friday the 13th when it comes to messes!

Going to visit Buck at work to raid the cool work kitchen

Doing some science to earn some extra "cool mom points"
Except.... they didn't all work out. ha

We have recently realized that we need to go out to eat more often because our girls need some extra practice on their public manners... They look behaved in these photos but.... mostly they were not. We take full blame.

Made it to the half way mark!

Rose has been making this silly "cheese" face.
Even at the Olive Garden, with a straw as added embellishment.

We went to see my cousin Gwen in Mary Poppins

A favorite activity for the girls- attacking dad on the trampoline.

All tangled up with friends!

Hazel showing off her cool new 50 cent shirt and black eye she got on the teeter totter

BYU Dinosaur museum with cousins!

Checking out the cows behind my grandma's backyard.

June made us french toast!

I had another event for my non profit and it was a really great day!
(photos by one of the photographer volunteers)

We also held a studio light workshop for volunteer photographers as a way to give back for all their hard work and service.

Sunday afternoon playing with new bubble gloves and the hammock. God bless sunny weather.
That toddler life.

Chilling with the uncle

Park time after family Sunday dinner and Hazel conquering the rock wall!

We've decided that instead of selling lemonade this summer, we will sell fur rugs.

I don't always remember to take a photo to post of my monthly temple trips, but this particular month's beauty left me no choice.

I love that Hazel looks like a grown up here.... distracted by a cell phone (it's not a real one, she had a fake one.)

Buck surprised the girls with some legos. Here they are putting together Hazel's bat man legos.

Movie date to see the new Avenger movie!

We got invited to a party at some new, soon-to-be-neighbor's house! June's the one who's complaining most about moving yet she's the most social whenever we've been out there and keeps making so many friends.

Rose's reaction to the electric guitar.

Uncle Curtis got it out when we were visiting. June's been dreaming of playing one and begs for an electric guitar for her birthday. It's random, I know, but she is in love with 80's rock!

And then we ended the month out nicely with some strep throat and viruses, for good measure.

These photos make this month look "normal" but really it's been crazy! With selling our house, my grandpa's passing and funeral, and Buck always being gone working on the new house and then the sick kids, it's been nuts! May wont be much calmer either- moving time!

I can’t believe it was just April already...my mind is shot! It’s a good thing you documented it!
