Hi!
This past weekend we took a quick trip to Boise to see my dad play Daddy Warbucks in the musical play of Annie. And there was the added bonus of being there for mother's day.
With a few stops along the way, Rose did an awesome job! June also helped entertain her, which was also awesome.
Electronics are also awesome for that last leg of the trip!
Only one road-side potty stop. ;)
Power lines for miles and miles!
We got in that Friday evening and the girls stayed up way too late partying. Then they woke up early Saturday morning and got right back to it.
Buck, June, my mom, and I went to the matinee showing of the play. June got pretty antsy during certain parts, as it really is more of an adult play, but she liked all the orphan scenes and of course when she got to see her bald grandpa on stage. (yes he shaved his head for this.) This week since being home she also seems to have a running theme of having a Miss Hannigan in her play times.
Meanwhile Erin and Dan babysat the other munchkins.
The rest of the day was spent at home playing, eating, and swimming! It was chilly out and there was a looming storm on its way, but my mom turned the pool up to 90 degrees! So it was nice and yes, we are spoiled.
Hands off ladies, he's aaaaaaall mine.
Before a fancy french toast Mother's Day breakfast, June surprised me with a breakfast she had put together at school, complete with a new hot pad. She was beaming, it was sweet.
Sadly, we had to spend most of our hours on Mother's day driving back to Utah. But it was all worth it to be with my mom on Mother's Day and to see my bald dad.
Till next time Boise!
