We all joked that Jade, Buck's sister, would have her baby on her dad's birthday, October 29th, but I think we were all surprised when she actually went into labor on that day! But she ended up with a long and tiring labor and baby girl wanted her own birthday I guess, so she was born after midnight on October 30th! Jade wanted some photos of when she was newly born so I got to be in the room the whole time, which was intense to be reminded about what I have to do again for the third time, haha, but I was happy to be there and to witness the miracle of birth on the other side of things! It's the first time I've been there for that. (I almost was with my friend Carrie but then she ended up having to have a C-section- so I was there for labor but missed the actual birth.)
And anyway, now June and Hazel have two cousins! And both girls! We are surrounded by girls and loving it. ;) The next morning they were able to go meet their new cohort and they were so so happy and loved her instantly. So now, Presenting baby Annika Jan!

I love these ones, if Annika didn't know what she was in for before, this moment gave her an idea. ;)
When she was a week old I went and took a few newborn photos of her and I got to hold her and freshen up on my newborn skills.
We are so excited and in love with our new family member. I'm also excited to see how Annika and our baby girl will run around causing chaos together. They have to be best friends, right?

Newborns are so precious! And older people show off their best sides when they are holding a newborn! :)
I can't handle Hazel's hair in the first few pictures. Like a princess.
