Lately- August Heat

Hi again! Time to dump some photos and memories! (sometimes I am the LAMEST writer on here. Sorry, no time for poetry!) But hey, Rebecca, Adrian, whoever else says they forget all their comments by the end of these, just click "comment" and it pops up with a little box you can keep your notes in while you read. ;) HA
So.
My good friend Tanya found baby kittens in her garage and so I helped clean them and then took photos of them to help them get sold to good homes! It worked!
Out to dinner with the fam.

Waking up is hard sometimes. Apparently so is sleeping in clothes...

Rainbow face!

June likes to make stories with stickers. It's super cute to watch her and hear her tell the carefully planned out plots.

At the animal farm- Hazel loved her pony ride this time! Here are two photos of the girls being cute and waving to each other
All those animals but this is the favorite hang out at the farm

June got a fairy house for her birthday and we spent some time painting it. It's now in the backyard and every day June checks it for fairy footprints...
What? don't you paint topless?

Our women's group at church had a fun activity where we went to the mountains and they had dinner and dessert by the fire.

Whiskey, our pirate lizard

The saddest bananas!

Took a day and went to "the fun center" which was mostly fun, and kind of weird.
Hazel was NOT impressed
Mini golf

Another day we met some friends at a duck pond and fed the ducks and then went and got some ice cream

Okay this is the coolest thing ever! My brother in law and his girl friend surprised me when I went over to their apartment to find that they had taken a photo I took in Armenia and turned it into wall art! It was the best surprise and made me happy, proud, motivated, and emotional.

This may or may not be the way Buck sees me

Hanging out with cousins.

Well. My old Honda died for good. RIP. But Buck took that opportunity and got a truck! He loves it and I'll admit, it's already come in handy like 8 times.

On a slow day I took the girls to the mountains like I always do. And it was good and peace, as always. June likes to make collections of things and line them up, Hazel likes to help her too:

One day Hazel had a fall and the next day she acted so sick but had no fever and it freaked me out. She snapped out of it after a few hours so who knows if it was a bug or some mild concussion but either way it was so sad.

But then life was good again! And we went to the dinosaur museum. They have a special exhibit right now too where this man has been making world wonders out of balloons! Here we have the Colosseum.
Annnnnd, a dinosaur cave. Just to keep things real.

Okay. This is a good story and I should have probably made it into its own post but whatever. So one night while out running some errands with June, she begged me to take her to the "miso soup restaurant" even though it was past bed time. But I miss being spontaneous so we did it! Being out at 9:00 pm to get some food with my 4 year old felt awesome. She ate so much too- miso soup, edamame, and pot stickers!
We stopped and got donuts on the way home too!
But yet, the ONE TIME I do this spontaneous thing, I miss all the action! Right before we got home Buck was sitting there when someone ran through our yard and into the backyard. Before he could even process what was going on about 6 cops cars came raging up into our driveway and in front of our house, the cops spilling from the cars and bolting into our yard as well! The guy may have initially jumped our fence but our little garden fence is apparently also a bad guy trap and it tripped him up and he was caught. You're welcome people of Utah.

Thankfully Buck called me and told me this as we were coming down the road to find all the cop cars out front. I'm glad he did or else I probably would have had a heart attack coming home to all of that! June and I saw the guy being cuffed. The cops were in and out for a little bit, taking Buck out back to check for damage and stuff. Good times people! Good times.

And now, moving on.... A new funny app!

We saw someone in full Captain America attire riding his bike down the road. June said "mom! He's come to save our city!"

My weekly check up. "You have a frog in your heart! You're not breathing AT ALL. . .  I'm going to eat my toast now."

Took a last summer family drive through the Alpine Loop! Next time we do this it will be full of fall colors!

At the car place getting the car serviced. At least they had this cool bench that June thought was a space ship.

Haha

Buck's parents moved into their brand-spanking new house! It's exciting.

Our big peach tree is dying :( and I'm real sad about it. But our little one managed to give us about five bowls full so I can't be too sad!

June and her daddy excavated a dinosaur!

Don't know why there are more Whiskey shoulder photos down here but whatever- here's to bearded dragon friends!

Wow, this post is freaking loooong. Sorry, life is full! But to end here are some actual camera photos that I didn't feel like making separate posts for.
The girls playing in our backyard pool. I love this photo and it sums them up pretty well!
I love seeing what they do as they play

I had to take the girls on a photo shoot for someone who is leaving on her LDS mission soon, and it was rough. They took her books....
And mostly Hazel cried on the ground.
And of course as we were finishing, they got happy.

And that's the best photo to end on. Thanks August- you were good to us! Can't wait to see you again next year! Long live the summer!

I have already commented on so many of these pictures but u have to say that bearded dragon is getting rather big and I remember that picture from Armenia. I loved it then and I like it even better on his wall. That is cool that Ben did that.

Ok...so since I got a specific shout out...I'm following your suggestion! And I'm nervous what I'm getting into...
Waving to eachother!! SO cute!
That lizard is huge!
Hooray for Armenia art! That is an amazing surprise! I always love that photo and I'm also so glad you were my companion and helped me see the beauty in these moments that I somehow overlooked! Mission blessing!
Buck got a truck! Max will be so jealous!
It looks like you have some decent forests over there too!
Poor Hazel! That is so scary if you don't know how affected they are from a fall!
Crazy Balloons!!!
June coming out of the cave! That's Hilarious!
What a fun date with June! You are such a great mom!
Good Job catching the bad guy! How scary!
June quotes are so funny! I laughed out load at both of them! (the captain America and doctor one)
whew, I made it! I started a photo dump near the beginning of summer and started building on it now I'm afraid it's getting too long and old news to actually post! Good job on doing this monthly during the summer! That's when it matters the most!

I am totally that lady vacuuming the magic carpet! Your catching the bad guy story reminded me of the time the bad guy backed into me in the grocery store parking lot and he couldn't get away from the police because I was in his way. The only thanks I got for that was a cracked hubcap! :)

I almost always comment on my phone so I will just have to work on improving my memory. :) As I was looking through the first half of the month I kept wondering why I was so in the dark. Then I realized that we were in Washington for most of it. A few favorites: June twisted in her pjs, your new print, your new truck!, and your mountain adventures. Oh, and I am curious why you decided that the Lehi Fun Center was "weird." Haha! We were just there tonight. We love it.
