First up we have some outside photos to celebrate that we have been able to go out and play more and more as the weather is finally coming to its senses
This is a fun baby gift Carrie sent to us!
June and I got to go on a mommy daughter date. We went to Chuck-e-cheese (still terrifying) for a b-day party and then stopped by the aquarium. Maybe we also bought some diapers?
I finally ventured out with both girls by myself. June got to ride the pony and eat ice cream while Hazel slept. Not bad.
While Buck's parents were in town for his graduation we got to get sushi. June ate two rolls, downed some miso soup and ate edemame. She is officially a Harrison.
We also went to the dinosaur museum. There was hardly anyone there that day so June had the sand and water play place all to herself- unheard of!
Hazel slept.
Buck and I cashed in on a gift card we got for some AMAZING sea food. I love sea food and it loves me.
One day, to bribe June to take her nap, I told her after wards we would go to a princess party. Really it was just a wedding reception but I figured if I let her wear her cinderella dress then she wouldn't know any better.
But then we got to the reception and.... it was princess themed! These photos don't even show the half of it but it was crazy. June fit right in. And all the bridesmaids were dressed as different princesses and as you can guess, June was going crazy with happiness.
One day we flew a kite with our friends. It was fun for ten minutes and then June got mad at the kite because it wouldn't fly if she grabbed it by it's tail. Oh toddlers.
A couple weeks ago Buck went to a business conference for four nights in DC. *sigh. It was kind of awful. But I don't want to even think about it so I'll expound on the good parts.
Like the drive to the mountains we took and June got to get out throw rocks. And she got more ice cream.
My cousin Molly came for a day to help out and that was wonderful! We took her to the aquarium as a thank you. And June wore her cowgirl boots.
But mostly we did this:
And made Buck "welcome home" cookies like the good little family we are to him.
Meanwhile, Buck was eating at fancy restaurants with MY sister and her husband, Dan. Lame.
Moving on...
We tried the whole potty training thing, which I could write a ton about how encouraging and discouraging it was, but I'll spare you and just say that June is half potty trained and we've taken a step back for a month or so until she's Just a little bit more ready. Anyway, here were her incentives.
One day we got to go as a family to the new Curiosity Museum at Thanksgiving point for a special member preview. It's amazing! Aaaammmaaazzziiinnngg. So amazing that I only have one photo to show for it. June. In an airplane. If you're here in Utah, just go. It's worth the money, just plan as much time for it as you can!
We spend more time home than we used to. Honestly sometimes I'm too scared to leave. Between a baby who wants to nurse every hour and a toddler who is realllly loving the tantrum stage (probably my fault though, seriously, I don't know what I'm doing in life, poor June) yeah... we stay low and fly under the radar these days. I don't even know how I'll manage even one pool trip this summer by myself. It would be a disaster. Everyone needs me and they each need both of my arms all the time.
But it's okay because they are so darn cute and I love them.
This past weekend we got sick (my favorite thing to do) Just the typical sinus infection, 102 fever, migraine sort of thing. Totally one of my favorites. But HEY- at least it wasn't the stomach flu. And I sincerely meant that with all of my heart.
But then all was well and I made a cake for my friend's birthday. And I only show this because I'm happy how normal it looks considering what it went through.... (baked on a slant [oops] causing incredibly lopsided cake layers. Cake making makes me anxious- something always goes wrong for us blondes!)
And lastly I leave you with this little gem I saw driving down the FREEWAY the other day. Three wheels people. Apparently that's all you need.

You are a serious rock star.
you were inspired about the princess party bribe, seriously, What are the chances?
Secondly, I'm sorry your time with buck gone wasn't fun. You should pump like crazy and then we should run away somewhere for a short while. Ya?
Lots of fun pictures! And you're doing great! I used to avoid going out when I had little ones at home. Frank used to take 3-4 day business trips about 3 times a month (so yep, nearly every week) when I had a newborn and two other kids (age 4 & 2). I would stock up on everything we needed when he was home so that I didn't have to go to the store while he was gone! He did those frequent trips for a year and a half. That is my excuse for being insane! :)
Yeah, I want more pictures of the princess wedding!
And I get what you mean about being scared to leave the house.
I think my favorite picture in this whole this is the one of June laying on Abe at your feet. Haha!
