WARNING:
In this post I am going to talk about how proud I am of my husband and brag a little bit about him. Why? Because he deserves it!

On April 25 Buck graduated with his masters degree! His degree is in Instructional Psychology and Technology, which can mean a whole lot of different things that I don't feel like writing about at the moment.What I do feel like writing about is the fact that HE DID IT! And it was a good day when he got to walk. For his undergrad he never did so this was special.
We had to be at the ceremony by 8:00 am, so that was brutal but we all survived. Plus it was worth it because Buck had to say the closing prayer, which also meant that he had to sit on the stand the whole time.
June announced at the end "Yay daddy you did it!" without being prompted.
They said not to cheer for individuals and to hold applause until the end of each section. When it was his turn to walk and get his diploma I didn't cry tears of happiness and pride like I thought I would. Instead I was overcome with the amount of restraint I had to use to hold back cheering like a wild banshee. I wanted to shout out a big old "AY YI YI!!!!" for my husband, but I knew that would embarrass him more than anything. haha
Afterwards we all hugged and smiled.
And his brother tried to steal a kiss
Then there were desserts galore to feast on at an outdoor reception.
Here's where I get to brag a little. Everyone says how "we" did it. And that's true in a lot of ways. But honestly Buck somehow managed to make our little family feel like his top priority the whole time. Yes there were absent times for him to do homework and write his thesis, but I hear of husbands who work and do school who are never home, never ever. And somehow it didn't feel like that. He was still present in our moments that mattered. He didn't miss out on June growing to a toddler. There were some harder times but the point is that I feel like he did it. He was here for us while somehow getting his master's degree with a 3.9 GPA.
And this is extra exciting because.... we have decided that maybe Buck getting his PHD isn't necessary and best for our family. At the very least he is going to take some time away from school instead of going on as originally planned. So we get to have lots of together time now. And he can work in the garden and build things with wood and who knows, maybe he'll even get out his painting supplies again and take to the canvas. The most important thing is that now he can!
So YAY for graduation! And hooray for school and a land of opportunities! And congratulations to BUCK!!

Hooray! Buck is totally brag worthy. I feel so excited for your family and you totally did it together! I also love that June noticed the significance. Your little ladies are so adorable!
PS. I had to pray at my graduation. It was scary!
Finally... been waiting for this post for a while. :-P So many priceless pictures there. Reminds me of my pics with dad at his graduation. Also, Jade looks hot and I have dress envy.

It was a fun day and we are so proud to have Buck graduate with his masters. You are right about him being a good father, a good student, a good husband and also a good provider and church supporter. Well, he has accomplished a lot in a few years. We know of course that he could not do it without a supportive wife even though it was hard at times. Here's to the future.
Congratulations to all of you! Seriously great pictures...love the one of June in Buck's hat...oh, and the one of his brother trying to kiss him! But hey...there were no refreshments when I graduated from BYU; what's up with that? :)
Congrats Buck! I had no idea he had such a high GPA. So awesome! And being done with school forever?! Kind of an awesome feeling right?
