Memorial day Buck and June and I went to the gardens at Thanksgiving Point since Buck has never been. We had a picnic. It was quiet and wonderful that day! Days off with Buck are the best kind of days. He was so relaxed and happy.

Then that night we had some friends over and the kids got to play in the hot tub while we barbequed and then for dessert we roasted different things over the fire like popcorn, marshmallows and star bursts.
Then today I went to the cemetery since we didn't make it yesterday and I was glad I went. It seemed that every grave had flowers except my grandparents. I felt sad, especially since my grandpa is a WWII vet.
I am grateful for those who fight for our freedoms and for a day to remember them and all our loved ones.

No but really, her hair is soooo strawberry blond! And she looks too old...
June's hair is getting so long! And I want a fire pit in my backyard (a hot tub wouldn't be so bad either)! I love that cemetery. I wish I lived close enough to visit those graves. I miss that on Memorial Day...no one I know is buried near me.
So that picture of the back of June where she is facing the garden and she has adorable bows in her pig tails...I really like that one!
