It's been a busy summer and even though school has started back up again, we decided to make the summer last a bit more and we went camping at our new favorite spot at Bear Lake! Some of Buck's family was also able to join- his parents, his cousin Chris, and his brother Ben and his son Finn.
On the way there we got a bit distracted when we stopped at a small town for gas and ended up going into the nearby antique store and buying a couple things and also enjoyed looking at all the things.
Meanwhile June made friends with an old grandma who needed help moving a treadmill from a room in her house so June volunteered to help, along with a few younger local boys. So Buck and I went too but they didn't really need our help. Good kids. The woman offered them some cash but we refused and so she cried from the kindness and hugged everyone. So random but lovely. And you know I had to sneak some photos of the unique old home.
Back at this place we discovered last summer!
Last year the water line of the lake was up to where that abandoned floaty is! I couldn't believe how much lower the lake was! It was SO much further away!
Despite the clouds, the water was warm! So we got in.
Johnny wanted to take some photos of me
I forgot that I had rolled my shorts up and tucked them into the underwear since I had been dressed for a hike we didn't end up going on, and wasn't ready to get in the water. But then it was so warm so I couldn't resist! Anyway, when I saw these photos later I had to laugh. Looks like I'm in some weird blacck diaper.
Then storm clouds gathered on the other side of the lake
June had been feeling sick earlier and took a nap. But then that night she was up and wanted to go to the lake even though not a soul was down there. She got lost in her imagination and was building a shelter of rocks/ She was not happy I interrupted her. ;) But I just really love that she's not too old to still imagine.
