New Years

For New Years we first did a balloon drop party at the roller skating rink with friends.

Then we had some different guests than we normally do for New years- since my mom and dad were in town, my Grandma and uncle Hans and cousins Scott and Tanner came over. We always do Thai food but it was Sunday and all the restaurants were also closed but crazy enough, my Uncle Hans, who just moved here from Boston, who served his mission in Thailand, told us he was actually already planning to make Thai food! So wild! We also did chocolate fondue and I found out my grandma had never had fondue before!

We did the count down at 10:00 with NYC and then put kids to bed because some people were a bit sick.

And then somehow I ended up alone to ring in the new year at actual midnight.

Maybe it symbolizes a year of peace and rest to come. ;)
