I almost forgot to make this post. haha But August is always worth remembering. :)
Now, imagine this: somehow during August we had a birthday, went to Boise, had our anniversary weekend getaway, started school back up again, AND did all of this other stuff too! Sometimes it feels like there's no time in life and yet, we seem to have quite a lot and have used it full to its brim! 😉
We even had times to chill and relax. ;)
Johnny got some cool new sun glasses from his uncle.
It was Johnny's first time and he did awesome!
I just love little kids' drawings!
One last time on the boat. 😥
Dare devil cat
Pissed Cat (I don't actually use that word very often but it truly describes her face so perfectly😅)
HOW do they sleep in all of that?!
My mom gave me a bag full of my old stuffed animals. And now my kids are obsessed with them. It's so strange to see these old things after decades and to see my kids playing with them. The great circle of life!
Lot's of super hero sightings around our house lately!
Dinner is always a wild time and it's amazing we manage to eat anything.
Rose started Soccer- her first time! She's also on the same team as her best friend-cousin Annika!
It seems we only get storms during a soccer game!
But beauty comes after the storms. First photo is by Haben and the second one is by a neighbor!
We hadn't had a girls night like all summer so we finally all got together! It's always a fun time.
Buck and I got to take a day date to the "Craft Lake City" crafters festival. Lots of cool stuff to see and buy...
The random stuff we bought- mostly gifts for others.
Got these cute felt foods for Rose and Hazel.
This hand painted bowl for my mom for her birthday.
A local 14 year old girl wrote these cute books that we got for June.
Buck got himself some local chocolate.
I got myself this otter pouch, a sticker, and a clip and ring. Random haha
A cute sword and shield for Johnny.
And some local goods for us and got some for my mom too.
I WANTED to buy these two things, but they were expensive. Maybe one day. :)
A kind of big thing also happened- just that it was time consuming and somewhat of a new thing. I got to perform with a group and do old time music with a jazz/swing band. It's one of my ultimate dreams to sing a solo with a band like this, and this time I was but an ensemble member, but I say this is one step closer to that dream than I've been yet! Maybe one day! It was fun to be apart of and get to know other people too.
The best part was Buck and the kids coming to see and support me. During all the numbers I wasn't apart of, we got to go on the dance floor and dance together. They were so proud of me even though I didn't even do that much. It was sweet.
A little girl asked Johnny to dance and he got super embarrassed and said "NO" and sat down, making this face. hahah
Lastly, family Sunday dinners are always a highlight.
We didn't get to see Winta for several weeks because of her busy college life and our busy things so we miss her and it's always nice when she gets to come to sunday dinners.
And that's a wrap on August! It's always sad to say good bye to the last official summer month.
And this meme pretty much sums up life, doesn't it?

For our YW activity this week we are having a "funeral" for summer. I thought you would appreciate that!!
That sign is the best...all too true!
I really like the rainbow pictures and I thought the dress you’re wearing for your performance is cute. I wish we could’ve been there to see it. And the sign at the end, all too true. 😂
