New Years Eve Party!

It seems that half of the country celebrated the new year with 1920's themes of the Roaring 20's and The Great Gatsby. We, however, stuck to our traditions and stayed home. Although I did unearth some old decorations from Buck's roaring 20's birthday from several years ago. ;)

Jade made an art deco cake!

We set off sky lanterns. And by that I mean one burned down to the ground and then we successfully got one to fly away, making new wishes for the new year.

And then, of course, some sparklers.

We ate Thai food and then chocolate fondue (which, we've been doing this for years and now it seems everyone does fondue!) We had family and friends over. We played games and laughed. Then I used my talents to make an impressive glass display and filled the cups. ;) And then we counted down and toasted the new year. It was a great day! One of my favorite parts was going out to the deck upstairs and watching hundreds of fire works going off around the valley at midnight.

Happy New Year Everyone!

Happy New year! We've been doing chocolate strawberries for you but I've finally been getting better at my cheese fondues over the last couple of years! I actually have really liked staying home for New Years too! Also, I'm able to catch up on your blogs because Max is gone at an orthodontist appt and I said he had to bring thai food home with him so now I don't have to cook and I have time to read your blogs. Pretty good plan!
