For Christmas this year we did the thing we've done for a few years now and had a small Christmas Eve on the 23rd and Christmas morning on the 24th. And it's the best because we get to do our little family traditions AND then have more Christmas with our families on both sides.
So on our first Christmas Eve we had our fancy dinner of cheese fondue, stuffed mushrooms, fruit and pasta.
Then everyone got their new Christmas pajamas!
And then we read the nativity story and watched a little film about it. It was all simple and perfect and a really special little night.
The next morning the kids all slept in till the sun was up and then it was time to unwrap presents!
And June got two pet rats! ;)
Then that evening we went to Buck's parents house for another Christmas Eve! We played a funny white elephant gift game and then some other fun Christmasy games, ate a yummy ham dinner, and opened some presents.
And then on Christmas morning we got some snow! And for some of us, it was the first time ever seeing it. :)
We spent the day with Buck's family playing games and eating more food. We did also go spend time with my Grandma. The kids loved seeing her Christmas village and my Grandma made everyone their own stuffed animals.
It was a wonderful holiday!

Sounds perfect! I've loved that we've had a calm Christmas Eve and Morning the last couple of years but still get a lot of family time. I love seeing the girls' reaction seeing the snow for the first time.
