I could go on and on about how sad I am that the official months of summer of over but... I'll spare you. Thankfully the sun doesn't care what month it is and it's still very warm outside so I'll revel in that.
So, August. Here are some odds and ends.
First up, some behind the scenes of Johnny's one year photos:
Some play ground equipment fun:
I fell asleep at a family gathering and someone put this dog here and took a creepy photo. haha
A couple cool storms from the month. This is not my photo but it was taken in my town!
One year check up!
Splash pad!
Icee date with Hazel
Hair tutorials by June
I love watching her play and imagine lately
Fun girls night to celebrate a friend's birthday. (side note: these friends and I get together once a night most weeks and it's been so so good. Anyone's invited!)
Then I was spoiled with more friend time. We had a reunion with together with some of the sisters who served together in Armenia. We went out to eat, stayed up late at my house talking, went to an Armenian market and then made an Armenian feast all together and dined. It was wonderful to be together.
And my bestie Rebecca came form Oregon for the reunion and stayed at my house. As an inside joke I decided to look up how to read palms and then read her palms but then it was freakishly accurate haha
And of course we called Siranush in Armenia!
And anyway, here's a couple cute photos of my boys.
Favorite finds on our walks.
Found this sliding down the hallway:
A happy aunt and two cute little cousins!
Another cousin accidentally shrunk her cute overalls and gave them to me and I am not sad about it.
Hazel started soccer!
Curiosity killed the cat...
More splash pad fun with friends!
And backyard swimming (with a bike in the pool...?)
Golden walks
This photo is all I have to show for the four different day summer camps that June and Hazel went to this summer. June did one for gardening and one for fashion design. Hazel did a dinosaur one and an art one. For me, the over documenter, it feels so odd to have sent them to these big experiences and have no idea what they really did or see any photos from it. haha So this photo of June's plant that she came home with will have to do!
Buck, defying his fears and painting some stain on the wood up high.
Bon fire with neighbors. Actually June set this all up and even bought marshmallows for it with her own money.
Animal farm with cousins! And Johnny's first time on a pony!
Hazel's first soccer game. It was so fun to watch!
Neighborhood movie night. Everyone had tacos and Johnny ate a plate.
Pre-bed time lullaby walks.
Disco face!
And lastly, just to make sure everyone remembers that deep down, I am just a crazy cat lady, here are some kitten photos.

Little kids playing soccer has been stressful to watch in my experience but I hope Hazel is enjoying it. August was a great month since I got to come visit!!! Favorite caption "I found this sliding down the hallway"
I do love my grandchildren and watching all the things they do. These dumps make me feel bad that I don’t live closer by but hey I think we got to see you three times within about a six week period and it was awesome.
