We finally went on a date! A real date! Maybe it wasn't that long ago that we went on another one but whenever it was, life with three kids makes it feel like a year ago.
This week a new place opened in town- a man made Himalayan Salt Cave. You know those Himalayan salt lamps people sometimes have in their homes? This was a room built with a ton of those, pretty much. And the floor was covered in loose, fine pink salt.
We got this Valentine's package where we went with a group of couples and laid in anti gravity chairs in the salt cave and were lead on some guided meditation. The lady doing that had us relax our bodies and then took our minds to different memories we have together- first time we realized we liked our significant other, first time we knew we wanted to be with them for life, a heavy vulnerable time that they supported you though, the future you imagine being in that you worked for together and then your present life that brings together all of those.
Then they had an instructor come and teach us how to give great shoulder and neck massages. My whole life is centered around trying to get Buck to give me shoulder rubs so this was a highlight. ;)
Afterwards we got a small gift box with a candle and some fine pink Himalayan that we're not sure what to do with but I figured it might make for a good bath salt?
And anyway, it was a delightful date. And random. And new.
Afterwards we went to Star Bucks and got a steamer and hot chocolate. We both shared what memories we thought about each other during the mediation, which was interesting and fun.
Hooray for real dates!
For locals, here's a LINK to the place we went to

Hooray for a solid night OUT!!!
This place is in AF? Crazy! I would have thought it was in Salt Lake or up one of the canyons. You definitely get points for another "out of the box" date night.
I want to go on a date!!!! This looks amazing! I like that your life revolves around getting massages!
