Girls Camp 2k16

I survived another year of Girls Camp! And it was a lot of fun.

The camp was surrounded by aspen trees and green bushes that nurtured the life of fuzzy black caterpillars. We were near a down slope and it dropped off into a stunning view of pines and peaks off in the distance. In the morning the sun rose up through the trees creating a cathedral of leafy shadows to wake up to. There was a water spigot with drinkable water. And the road in was full of thick orange dust that coated everything we owned.

Being pregnant and still sick and then at a very high altitude, I actually just sat and laid around a whole lot it seems. But I was there at least, right? haha I couldn't do the zipline, hike, canoes, but I WAS there for most things to be the photographer. So here are my photo stories of camp. Well, some of them. I also tried not to add too many of other people's children since this is a public blog, so just know that there are a ton of funny candid photos of the girls. :)

Everyone was so great at helping with everything.

And we ate well for the four days!
I tried a kids one on and it looked extra funny with my little baby bump.
 The best. HA
Singing camp songs
  Weird sightings
 The "belly band."

Helping to set up things along a path for a "faith walk."
Which ended in a little tea party. And apparently I was obsessed with the flags.

The funny thing is that there are hardly any photos of me since I was always the one photographing and sick on top of that, I wasn't super motivated to pass the camera off for that purpose. But since I'm only showing a handful of the 300 photos I have, and I'm adding any photo I was in since you know, this is my blog, it looks like I was in a lot of photos. Long pointless story but there you go. Just wanted you to know I'm not as vain as this photo may imply.
Woke up that forth morning and packed up and came home! I know I could have written more but I decided to let the photos speak this time. Hope you enjoyed it. It was a special week!

SO is that legit camping in tents, and they have to cook their own food? I mean that's great, we just had cabins and cooks and a cafeteria of sorts. haha! Also, is there some rule about not canoeing while pregnant? because I did go white water rafting with both of my pregnancies. whoops. Also, your photos and baby bump are absolutely amazing!

I was wondering about the canoe thing too. Do they do extreme canoeing in your ward or something? Haha! Looks like a nice week at camp. It was good of you to go even though you are not feeling the best right now. Also, that ET pic is creepy. Just saying...

Always beautiful in the mountains and it looks like this camping place didn't disappoint. But whoever thought my little Anna would grow up liking to camp. I'm glad you had a great time. I'm sure the girls loved having you there.

I just love aspen trees. They are my favorite!! I am totally impressed that you went to Girls Camp when you were pregnant and sick. I could not have done that! Girls Camp is the best, though. I loved my week at camp last week!
